  1. Thoroughly cleanse the skin and allow it to dry.
  2. Put tattoo sheet on a flat surface, crystal side up. Rub the transparent tape, gentrly pressing down on the crystals.
  3. Carefully separate the white sheet from the clear tape, making sure all of the stones stick tot he clear tape. If some stones adhere to the white sheet, simply repress the sheets together.
  4.  Press the clear tape with crystals to the skin. Press for 10 seconds to allow adhesive to adhere to the skin.
  5. Gently peelthe tape off of the skin.
  6. After removing the clear tape, press the crystals to insure that they adhere.
  7. Crystals can be easily removed from the skin.

Quality vajazzling crystals can and should be re-used. This depends in part on the backing of the crystal. If it is a Swarovski flatback, then the crystal can be used over and over again with skin safe adhesive. For optimum shine, polish the crystals with a soft lint free cloth before reusing them. Treat them like you would any other quality stones by making sure not to get them scratched up. And remember to store them properly.

If you're not comfortable starting off with a full vajazzle treatment, you can always use another area around your waist. The stones can sit above the waistline. That way you can wear pants and they're still visible. Or you can put them on the small of your back as in this video shoot detailing the procedure:

Congratulations on your Vajazzling.com home vajazzling kit!

  1. Prepare the pubic area by first waxing or shaving. Waxing is recommended as it lasts longer.

  2. Make sure the skin is clean and dry. Don't apply if you have any skin irritation from a recent wax or shave. If your skin is irritated, wait until it clears up.

  3. Peel the clear film carefully from the white backing. The top of the Swarovski crystals should stick to the clear film. The bottom of the crystals, with the adhesive, should be exposed.

  4. If any crystals stick to the white bottom, they can later be applied with tweezers.

  5. Line up the pattern as you desire.

  6. Press firmly and hold for a few seconds.

  7. Your vajazzling pattern should last a few days. Wearing tight fitting clothes will rub the stones off. Loose fitting pants are recommended.

There are 2 parts to this. The first deals with how the crystals are applied. The 2nd deals with how they're treated after.

Before applying the crystals, always make sure the skin is smooth, freshly shaved or waxed, dry and clean. This helps the adhesive stay on best regardless of which skin-safe adhesive is being used.

How you wear your vajazzle affects how long the vajazzling lasts. One important tip is to wear looser clothing around the area. If it's summer, then wear a bikini that sits low. Remember that reputable professional vajazzlers will guarantee the crystals to last 5 days.

Vajazzling can be done in 1 of 2 ways. You can DIY vajazzle with a home vajazzling kit, or you can go to a spa/salon. DIY vajazzling kits are much cheaper to obtain, but you have to apply them yourself or have a very understanding girlfriend help you.

If it's your first time vajazzling, we recommend paying a few extra dollars and getting a professional vajazzle. Have it done right, surprise your special lover, and above all, have fun! If you want to try it again, you can do it at home later.

A professional vajazzle will cost anywhere from being free with a brazilian wax, to costing almost $100. It all depends on the package deal and spa you go it.

Brazil Bronze in New York charges $17 for a professional vajazzle. Completely Bare Spa, also in New York, gives them away for free with a bikini or Brazilian wax.

Is it oppresive for a woman to dye her hair, paint her fingernails, wear high heals, wear makeup, etc.? Not at all. Women today have the freedom to choose how to best express themselves. They can keep things simple, or ordane themselves with all that femininity can offer. Vajazzling is just an extension of existing techniques for women to enhance their bodies. And vajazzling, as with anything else, should be done for the right reasons, never out of any sense of pressure. Like other techniques, it's temporary, safe, and entirely customizable.

We've been interviewing spas and salons all over the country. A number of them are beginning to get requests by clients to vajazzle. This includes big cities like Miami, Los Angeles, San Franciso, and obviously New York. Here's our business directory of professional vajazzling spas/salons.

A SpaWeekBlog.com's anonymous writer recently vajazzled herself and tested this out with her man. It's not a problem at all. The crystals aren't sharp. They don't cut into or grate against the man.

She said the woman who vajazzled her indicated you’re not supposed to have sex right after you’re vajazzled. I’d thought there may be laceration involved (did I mention the crystals?), but there was no problem with it for us; unless you count vajazzles everywhere as a problem.

A quality salon or spa will guarantee the vajazzling crystals to stay on for 5 days. That is the current standard amongst salons and spas that Vajazzleville has contacted around the country. This includes places in New York, Miami, San Francisco, Los Angeles, and others.

They were on the sheets, the heart was no longer in tact, they were in different places on her body and other places in the bed, on clothes… I had vajazzles stuck to my shoulder the next day… we even found one on a dish that had gone through the dishwasher. They get all over. I wanted her to remove them earlier in the week, but she insisted they stay on ’til they fell off. The novelty had run out far before the heart was indiscernible.

@Vajazzleville hahaha I found one on the bathroom floor this morning, and some transferred onto my jammies

It’s been less than 24 hours, but the gems feel very firmly attached. They’ve survived several clothes changes, ten minutes of sprinting through an airport, a cross-country flight, and maaaaybe a little inappropriate fondling.

Tattooed skin should be cared for and treated just as regular skin in this regard. Depending on the type of adhesive used, it will hold as well over a tattoo as over un-tattooed skin. Vajazzling around tattooes can be a creative way to add sparkle to an already existing design on your body. It's not just limited to vajazzling. Glue Swarovski crystals in and around any of your tattoos.

When people first here about vajazzling they picture Swarovski crystals glued to a woman's labia. That's not the case at all. In fact, they're glued to the vulva; to the freshly shaven or waxed area just over the clitoris. This is a safer spot, won't interfere with toilet duties, won't rub off as easily, and it allows for good old fashioned sex.

And if you're still worried, it's alright. Just use the crystals elsewhere.

A typical vajazzle application lasts a few days. In this time, depending on how you trimmed, your skin could still be smooth. Of course, every woman's different. By the time your pubic hair grows back, the vajazzling crystals will have fallen off on their own.

Ideally you should wax instead of shave. A wax keeps the skin smoother for a longer period of time. Just be sure to take care of your skin before applying the crystals. If you're experiencing excessive redness then wait a while before applying.

No joke. Not only has it taken off, but merchants, spas, salons, and beauticians are stepping over themselves to fulfill the demand.

Vajazzling is being talked about on major blogs, websites, and news sources.

Common adhesives include eyelash glue and spirit gum. Spirit gum is known to cause allergic reactions in some people.

Vajazzling consist of glueing small crystals directly to the skin. The glue used wears away within a few days. A quality spa will guarantee the gems to stick for about 5 days. Various adhesives can be used based on the manufacturer. Spirit gum is a common adhesive for these applications.

According to Wikipedia:

It has been known to cause allergies in some people, but nevertheless remains in wide use.

Empowher.com is more concerned about the woman's overall sexual health. As long as you're practicing safe sex and vajazzling for the right reasons (not being pressured into it), then all is well.

1. You're getting tested for STDs and you're making sure your partners get tested as well: Your vagina won't look dazzling with an STD. As with most things, you need to take care of the inside and outside. Encourage your partners to get tested and make sure you enforce...

2. Safe Sex. Don't waste your crystals on someone who refuses to use protection - there are multiple ways to be accountable for your sexual health. Preventing unintended pregnancies may happen through male and female condoms, oral contraceptives, nuva rings, etc. Take care of yourself and be rigid about your sexual health.

3. Enjoy yourself. By this I mean - if you're getting pressured and feeling uncomfortable about changing your body, perhaps it's time to rethink your situation. Everyday we get hundreds of messages telling us to be pure in a certain way, or pretty in a certain way, or sexy in a certain way.

Examiner.com asked a doctor if this is safe, here's what she had to say:

Is bedazzling your vagina safe? Suffice it to say there are no medical studies available. However, the genital skin is among the most sensitive in the body. Skin adhesives typically contain alcohol, ether, latex, or formalin, all of which can cause irritant or allergic reactions, especially if applied to freshly waxed skin!

Jennifer Love Hewitt first mentioned vajazzling during an interview on the Lopez Show on 1/12/2010.
